Terms of use
Use HotWaterWise as a planning estimate
HotWaterWise supports Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Logan, Ipswich and Redlands. It is an information and decision-support tool, not a plumber, electrician, installer, retailer, energy adviser or quotation service.
Operator and contact
HotWaterWise is operated by Connor Murphy as an individual. For questions or to report a mistake, email hotwaterwise@gmail.com.
Estimates, not professional advice
Results are produced from submitted information and disclosed planning assumptions. They are not an inspection, product assessment, tariff quote, installation quote, guarantee, recommendation or forecast. Before buying or replacing a system, check your bill and obtain advice and a written quote from appropriately licensed tradespeople who have assessed the property and applicable network, plumbing and electrical requirements.
Costs and savings can differ
Actual demand, system performance, maintenance, climate, controls, retailer prices, fixed supply charges, incentives and installation conditions can materially change an outcome. The calculators exclude items described on the Methodology page. Rooftop PV receives no fixed numerical credit because its hot-water contribution cannot be estimated reliably from the information collected; actual electric costs and savings may differ, and PV is never credited to gas.
Links and third parties
Links to government, regulator, source-data, platform or other sites are provided for context and verification. Their content, services and availability are controlled by their operators. A link is not, by itself, a recommendation or endorsement.
Software, content and third-party material
The repository’s root LICENSE grants MIT rights for the software it covers and includes its own copyright and warranty notice. These website terms do not remove rights granted by that licence. Dependencies, retained template material, G-NAF, Administrative Boundaries and other source material remain subject to their own licences, notices and attribution requirements. Website text and branding can have different licence terms. The software licence does not automatically grant rights to every third-party asset. See the repository’s third-party notices and provenance record.
Australian consumer protections
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Whether particular laws apply can depend on the operator and circumstances; this page is not legal advice.
